Binaural Tones

The science behind binaural tones occurs naturally in the brain.

Binaural tones, also called binaural beats or rhythms, are an auditory illusion created by the brain when hearing two tones with slightly different frequencies, one from each ear.

The brain is not accustomed to hearing different frequencies in each ear as this phenomenon does not occur in nature, therefore, it has not evolved a mechanism to understand them. Instead, the Superior Olivary Nucleus, which is the area of the brain that controls the three-dimensional perception aspects of sound, in its attempt to “localize” the direction of the sound internally generates a “third tone” whose vibration frequency is the resultant of the difference between the two tones heard.

The brain synchronizes with the vibration speed of this internal signal and produces brain waves of the same frequency, this phenomenon is known as “Frequency Tracking Response”.

For example, an individual may hear a 240 Hz tone played in one ear and a 245 Hz tone played in the other ear, which will produce the illusion of a third tone of 5 Hz which is the difference between 240 and 245 Hz.

This internally created third tone is what exerts the therapeutic effect, which in Aloha uses this internally created third tone to produce a wide range of benefits covering four major areas: Activation (energization and motivation), Productivity (self-confidence, concentration, problem solving and getting “in the zone”), Health (energy balance, cell regeneration, pain management and positive attitude) and Rest (relaxation and sleep induction).

MONAURAL TONES:

Monaural tones are generated without the need to use headphones as they are the result of the arithmetic sum of sound waves in the air, when two tones with different frequencies add or cancel each other, generating an oscillation in the volume of the acoustic signal.

These monaural tones are produced for example when two engines of a propeller plane run at slightly different speeds sending out “waves” of vibrations or when two guitar strings of slightly different frequencies are plucked simultaneously.

Monaural tones reach the ear as beats and thus excite the thalamus, an action crucial for the induction of brain synchronization.

OMNIAURAL TONES:

Aloha, in its continuous quest to innovate in the science of sound has developed a method that allows us to generate tones that exert a binaural and monaural effect simultaneously, allowing us to offer the benefits of brain synchronization both with the use of hearing aids and without requiring them, we have named them “Omniaural Tones.”

For this, instead of separating the two tones totally in each ear, these are positioned at an angle of 45 degrees in the stereophonic spectrum, thus allowing the interference between the two tones to be generated in the external acoustic environment making the resulting third tone perceptible to any listener, and at the same time creating a physiological binaural effect when listened to with hearing aids.

Isocrhonus Tones

The name “isochronal tones” comes from the Latin “Iso” meaning “equal” and “Chrono” meaning “time”, tones whose volume variations are “equal in time”, i.e. they oscillate in a constant and uniform manner.

The distinctive pulses of isochronal tones are designed to rapidly alter brain activity because they elicit a strong auditory response evoked through the thalamus.

Along with binaural tones, isochronal tones are the primary generators of brain synchronization induction to bring the brain to the desired electrical vibration rates for each desired therapeutic goal.

Aloha has developed a method that coordinates the vibration speed of the isochronal tones with the rhythm of the music, this is achieved by converting the cycles per second or Hertz (Hz) of the isochronal tones into “Beats per minute” which is the rhythmic language used in music.

Our method called SGM (Synchronization Generated by Music) makes that the brain synchronization effect is obtained, not only through the isochronous tones but also through the musical arrangements as they are perfectly synchronized with the desired vibration speed.

In this way the brain synchronization tones now have a wide variety of sound colors, and are covered with original sounds, melodies, harmonies and musical arrangements coming from the most varied millenary cultures of the world.

Aloha, with its SMG method, has managed to merge science and art in an innovative way, offering a tool that exerts a powerful emotional, aesthetic and therapeutic effect.

Frequency Solfeggio

Solfeggio frequencies belong to the “Solfeggio musical scale”, developed in Medieval times by the Benedictine monk Guido D’Arezzo, this scale was discovered in a hymn dedicated to John the Baptist, and has been used for centuries in Gregorian Chants. Over the course of history, the Solfeggio Scale was replaced by the “Tempered Tuning” composed of 12 semitones that has governed the music of Western civilization from the 16th century to the present day.

The method used to create the Solfeggio scale consisted in the “Pythagorean reduction” of the order of the verses contained in the “Book of Numbers”. Using as a guide a series of central ideas contained in the verses of this book, it was discovered that, by adding the numbering of these verses and then “reducing it numerically” (adding the digits of each verse and converting them into simple numbers) a sequence of six digits was obtained, each one of them formed by three digits, all of them related to the “Universal Numbers” 3, 6 and 9, these three numbers form the central axis of the vibrations of this scale.

These three numbers form an equilateral triangle by drawing a circle subdivided by nine points numbered from 1 to 9 starting at the top, this triangle is closely related to the three universal forces of creation or “Holy Trinity” (active force, passive force and neutralizing force or father, son and holy spirit), while the other six figures (1, 2, 4, 5, 7 and 8) represent the laws that govern the processes of involutionary and evolutionary transformation of everything created in all orders of existing structures and organizations from the cosmic macro to the cosmic micro. The order in which these numbers flow is 1, 4, 2, 8, 5, 7.

By converting these digits into cycles per second (Hertz or Hz) the “Solfeggio musical scale” was generated whose numerical values are: 369, 417, 528, 639, 741 and 852. These musical notes were named: UT, RE, MI, FA, SOL and LA.

Nicola Tesla said “he who knows the magnificence of 3, 6 and 9 knows the key to the universe”, the vibrations generated by the numbers 3, 6 and 9 have profound beneficial effects on the water that makes up more than 70% of the human body, and on the DNA molecules, in charge of the genetic code of the organism.

The Solfeggio Frequencies also have powerful effects on the energetic balance and healing processes of the organs and tissues of the body, as well as on the alignment of the mind, body and emotions, helping to restore the correct harmonious functioning of all the constituent structures of the human being at the organic level as well as at the psychological and spiritual level.

Chakra Activation

WHAT ARE THE CHAKRAS?

Chakra in Sanskrit means “Wheel”, and refers to the seven “Energy Wheels” that we have in our body aligned along our spine from the base to the crown of our head, the Chakras are places where subtle energy from the higher planes begins to become denser, the energy of the Chakras becomes denser as it enters the body, then becomes the acupuncture points and meridians, and finally, this energy is transferred to the density of the physical body. Each Chakra has a powerful connection to our psychological, emotional and spiritual states.

Everything in the universe, including our mind and body, is in a constant state of vibration, each entity vibrates at its own frequency, music is sound, sound is vibration, the vibration of music has a direct impact on the Chakras. Our physical and psychological, emotional and spiritual well-being requires that our Chakras are kept open and our energy is continuously flowing. When we become ill, it is likely that one or more of our Chakras are blocked, either by physical trauma or by emotional causes that manifest physically. By balancing the chakras, the imbalances in the physical body usually disappear.

There are numerous sounds that resonate with the Chakras, the musical vibration that corresponds to each Chakra resonates in it and activates it, making it rotate in the right direction, allowing it to open, allowing its energy to flow and exert its effect on the correct functioning of our organs and systems generating balance and well-being.

Mindfulness Meditations

Our Mindfulness meditations immerse you in a unique experience in which positive thinking and self-help phrases, together with therapeutic sound frequencies, synchronized with original music create a synergistic and empowering effect that provides you with multiple benefits for your performance in life.

Breathing

Breathing is not only a mechanism to bring oxygen to the body, it is the breath of life that accompanies us from the moment we are born and serves as a vehicle to connect us with our inner world, allowing us to access meditative states of heightened awareness and to get in touch with more subtle and higher vibrational frequencies.

Although the breath functions autonomously, it can also be consciously controlled for short periods of time. It has been demonstrated that there are various breathing techniques that modify our parasympathetic system producing multiple beneficial effects at physiological, mental and emotional levels.

Breathing has four phases, inspiration, retention, expiration and rest. Aloha offers you eight different breathing modalities, combining these four phases in different ways, accompanied by audiovisual animations that help you to practice them in an easy and intuitive way, and that will bring you benefits such as relax, calm, improve your concentration, obtain physical well-being, sleep, and energize you among many others.

Gaia Flow fuses the percussive sounds of wood, leather and metal with flutes, marimbas, violins, strings, seeds, voices, rivers, fauna, wind and sea from the most varied corners and traditional cultures of the world, fusing them perfectly with isochronic, omniaural and Solfeggios tones through its exclusive SMG or Synchronization Generated by Music method, to offer you all the therapeutic benefits of Aloha while you enjoy the song of our beautiful planet.

ASMR

ASMR stands for “Autonomous Sensory Meridian Meridian Response”, which describes a physiological phenomenon in which certain sounds produce a pleasant tingling sensation or a kind of mild electric current in the skin that can range from the scalp to the nape of the neck and upper spine accompanied by a subtle thrill of euphoria and relaxation.

The sounds that produce this neurological reaction are produced by a wide variety of objects and materials such as combs, brushes, plastic, rocks, coins, cloth, paper, glass, wood, earth and many more when percussed, brushed, tapped, scratched, fractured, and manipulated in many other ways. The whispered human voice also has a powerful triggering effect on the ASMR sensory response.

Aloha has created its own method of ASMR by combining the above acoustic tools with low-frequency, soft-sounding isochronous tones that generate Delta waves in the brain and positive whispered phrases that induce a meditative state, taking the ASMR experience to a new level of intensity, depth and effectiveness.
